A lot of times, police uniforms are made to be either comfortable or functional, but not both. When 5.11 Tactical began developing the Patrol Duty uniform, they took both into consideration. The end result after a ton of research and development was a very comfortable and functional police uniform. One of the ways that 5.11 Tactical has made this police uniform so comfortable is by using a poly/cotton blend material. This material combination is breathable and easy on the skin. In addition it is treated with a fade resistant application and can be washed at home.

The 5.11 Tactical Patrol Duty uniform is available in both men’s and women’s. As we mentioned earlier the uniforms are treated with Teflon for stain and soil resistance. This is a great feature to have in police uniforms. While Best Police Uniform hasn’t had the chance to the wear these brand new uniforms yet, we do like the fact that they are machine washable. We have never been a fan of having to take our uniforms to the dry cleaners.
